Cecilia Harvey
About
Cecilia Harvey is the Founder and Director of Cultural Nexus Ltd, based in the UK. A quadrilingual Social Anthropologist, she holds an MA in Social Anthropology from the University of Sussex and a BScEcon in Social Anthropology from the University of Wales, Swansea. Her passion for the richness of human difference, fairness, and the psychology of identity drives her work in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I). Cecilia partners closely with executives, boards, HR, Integrity & Compliance, and Communications professionals to promote sustainable, equitable change.
She is an accredited facilitator in Cultural Intelligence (CQ®), and specialises in Ethnicity, Identity & Belonging; ED&I Strategy; leadership development; behavioural and cultural transformation; and embedding fairness as a core organisational principle. Cecilia designs data-informed, inclusive frameworks that align AIM — Accessibility, Inclusion, and Multiculturalism — to ensure change is both effective and enduring.

Experience
- Drove and coordinated strategic ED&I initiatives centred on gender, LGBTQ+, ethnicity, and disability, working with multiple stakeholders.
- Designed and delivered training programmes on unconscious bias awareness, microaggressions, inclusive language, and other ED&I themes.
- Facilitated global cultural transformation programmes and implemented bespoke initiatives for teams in Vietnam, South Africa, the US, and Canada.
- Chaired the Ethnicity in Maritime network under the national Maritime UK Diversity Programme (until April 2022) and established ED&I networks, committees, taskforces, and employee resource groups (ERGs).
- Partnered with iHasco in 2020 to develop ED&I and disability training courses.
- Designed ED&I strategies, launched mentorship programmes for female colleagues to tackle the gender pay gap in the UK, and created benchmarking tools to support transformation programmes.
